Full-Time Assistant Manager (Thief River Falls)

Full-Time Compensation: Starting at $20/hour

Part-Time Compensation: Starting at $15/hour

Ronning’s Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations to achieve targeted productivity, sales, and profitability. As an Assistant Manager you will develop,
inspire, and lead a strong team of reliable, positive employees that are customer and results focused.


Assistant Manager Responsibilities
• Assist the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations
• Assist the Store Manager in handling the daily deposit
• Assist the Store Manager in fulfilling special orders for customers
• Support the Store Manager in generating sales and profits and managing expenses
• Assist in driving new ideas, sharing information with others and creating solutions to problems
• Ensure the highest level of customer service is always being provided to every customer by employees
• Ensure Employee Handbook is being followed
• Takes disciplinary action when necessary
• Keep track of employee purchases, uphold employee policy, and ring up all employee purchases
• Implement visual standards for a consistent store image and merchandise presentation (seasonal/rotational store sets, rotating product, mannequins)
• Maintains store to standards; including stocking and cleanliness
• Assist the Store Manager in training and developing staff in all phases of store business including operations, merchandising, and sales training to include personal sales excellence
• Developing/coaching employees in the moment and being the floor lead
• Continuously network and recruit passionate sales driven associates, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations
• Driving revenue through a customer-focused team environment
• Develop and motivate the team while demonstrating strong leadership skills (implementing approved sales contests)
• Resolve customer issues to their satisfaction with tact and empathy while adhering to company policies
• Key Holder. Perform opening and closing procedures
• Complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently
• Reports to work as scheduled, remains flexible to the needs of the business.
• Fulfills assigned aspects of the Store Manager duties in the absence of the Store Manager


Software Responsibilities
• Completely understand and operate the functions of RICS system relevant to your responsibilities
• Monitor correct RICS receiving, pricing, transferring (RICS Operations)
Community Responsibilities
• Participate in community events on behalf of Ronning’s
• Suggest and research products and/or brands that may be unique or sell well in your community

Position Requirements
Assistant Managers are skilled individuals with:
• High school degree or equivalent
• Self-motivated
• Ability to work independently
• Previous supervisory experience required; preferably in a retail customer and sales results focused
environment
• Strong selling abilities and the ability to build customer relationships
• Proven ability to motivate others and work as a team to meet and exceed goals
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Availability to work day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours

Full-Time Sales Associate (Thief River Falls)

As a Sales Associate at RONNINGS, you will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers. You’ll provide friendly, knowledgeable service while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor. This position requires energy, teamwork, and a passion for retail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations across multiple product categories (clothing, footwear, gifts, home décor, toys, and more).
  • Operate the cash register, process transactions, returns, and exchanges accurately.
  • Maintain store standards through stocking, merchandising, and organizing displays.
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and pricing merchandise.
  • Uphold RONNINGS’ customer service standards by resolving concerns quickly and effectively.
  • Support store promotions and special events.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of the sales floor, fitting rooms, and checkout areas.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist where needed to meet store goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required (we will train the right person).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs.

Part-Time Sales Associate (Roseau & International Falls)

Ronning’s Sales Associates are key players for providing top level customer service, creating a loyal customer base, and achieving daily/monthly sales goals. At Ronning’s you will be part of a reliable, positive, and driven team. Your success in this role will be measured through personal sales and productivity goals plus your ability to provide a great in-store experience to every customer.


Responsibilities
• Promptly greet customers as they enter the store, ask open-ended questions to better understand how you can help them
• Introduce promotions/sales to customers
• Goal driven, meets/exceeds sales goals with a focus on meeting the stores Items Per Ticket and ADS (average dollar sale) goals
• Increase Items Per Ticket and ADS through cross selling and upselling merchandise
• Ring purchases, returns, and refunds
• Resolve customer issues to their satisfaction with tact and empathy while adhering to company policies
• Maintains merchandise and visual standards for a consistent store image, merchandise presentation, and mannequin presentation
• Maintaining a clean and orderly sales floor consistent with store standards
• Act in a professional manner and be respectful to customers (and coworkers) at all times
• Express gratitude to our customers. Employees should smile and say “thank you” to all customers leaving the store – even if the customer did not make a purchase.
• Sincerely thank customers for their constructive and positive feedback about our product or service
• Reliable and dependable team player; positive attitude and focused on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment
• Reports to work as scheduled, remains flexible to the needs of the business and adhere to all company policies
• Attend and participate in reoccurring store meetings lead by the manager staff

Part-Time Office Manager (Detroit Lakes)

Job Title: Part-Time Office & HR Manager

Location: Detroit Lakes 

Job Type: Part-Time, With the Availability to Grow into Full-Time

Reports To: Owners 

Compensation: Starting Pay $21/hour

Schedule: Office Hours Monday-Friday, or Flexible

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Manager to oversee daily operations and provide critical support across administrative and human resources functions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is detail-oriented, and enjoys being the central hub of a growing organization. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Office Management: 

  • Oversee the smooth day-to-day office operations of the business 
  • Maintain company supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships 
  • Serve as the main point of contact for building management and maintenance 
  • Monitor and manage budgets related to office operation. 
  • Work with our accounting team to process invoices, update company information 
  • Assist in managing donation requests and donation budgets

Office Management/Buying Assistant: 

  • Fill out new account paperwork or update account paperwork as needed for vendors 
  • Manage an inventory class or vendor(s) to ensure inventory is well stocked & performing to our company metrics
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable as needed

Human Resources Duties: 

  • Assist with recruitment, including job postings, resume screening, and coordinating interviews 
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, including paperwork, orientation, and training schedules 
  • Maintain and update employee records in compliance with company policy and legal requirements 
  • Administer employee benefits, PTO tracking, and assist with payroll processing 
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations and HR policy questions 
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws and HR best practices 
  • Support performance review cycles and employee engagement initiatives 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager, HR Assistant, or similar role 
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) 
  • Solid understanding of HR processes and employment laws 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities 
  • High level of discretion and professionalism 
  • Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace); HR/payroll systems a plus 
  • Experience in a small to mid-size business
